Our vocalist John Brown decided to leave Soulsteeler.
This for various reasons but the main one was that lately he felt his devotion wasn't the same anymore.
John will help us out with the gig's that are scheduled so we're not forced to cancel any gig. Thanks for that John
Meanwhile Soulsteeler will go on and is urgently looking for a new Vocalist / Vocaliste.
We're looking for someone that can bring clean vocals spiced with the necessary "Rock or Heavy metal" feeling

We 're glad to announce that the new Soulsteeler MiniCD In a glow of Crimson Red has been released. After some frustrating weeks of waiting, we received last weekend our package from the press company. But it was well worth the waiting we're very glad with the result. The Minicd has been recorded in June 2007 at the Hype Studio's in Mechelen (BE) and it contains 5 tracks.
3 tracks can be listened at our free stuff pages under the section MP3.
Currently we're bussy sending our MCD around for reviews , gigs, etc.
"In a glow of Crimson Red " is available for orders, only for €5,- + shipping costs, by sending an email to info@soulsteeler.com or with any of the bandmembers or at any Soulsteeler gig in the future.
We can also reveal that there will come a small CD-presentation in the near future. More info on that one can be expected in the next couple of weeks.

June 8- 2007

Currently Soulsteeler is at full trothle at the Hype Studio’s producing our new MiniCD
As we speak the mixing process is going on so after today the material is ready for mastering.
For those who like to see us live in action, we''ll play a gig on Saturday 30 june.
Our former Bassplayer Ken V.S (Killer/BlackJack) will join us on this one because
Sus cannot be among us that day.

Soulsteeler has booked the Hype Studio’s at Mechelen to record a new MiniCD
This MiniCD will present 4 new tracks that we’ve made the past year.
1. Break down the walls
2. Somniphobia
3. Crimson Red
4. Desteny’s at hand
The recordings ‘ll start in june , release of the MinCd can be ekspected during
the next couple of months.
For the moment we’re working very hard to “fine tune” the music so
we can present you a nice peace of workmanship.

It has been a while that we’ve posted some fresh news so here it comes.

After a couple of months of rehearsing with our new bandmembers we feel that

we are ready to hit stages again.

So we can announce a first gig that ‘ll be also the “maidengig” for our newees.

Come and see us 31 march at Zaal Kafka in Anwerp. It’s gonna be a great evening

with some promissing performances not only from us but also from the other bands.

It took us a couple of weeks but now we’re proud to announce that Soulsteelers line-up is complete again.

Hereby we present our new members: On drums: Bart Janssens; he’s living in Oosthoven (Oud-Turnhout) and played in a former life together with Jeroen in the band Kalashnikov.

Our new Bass-slayer: Sus Kaethoven. He lives in the city of Reusel (Nl). He’s a real Dutchman but he claims to be a Belgium guy to, so that made it OK for us.

Welcome to the Soulsteeler-clan!!

For the moment we’re busy to rehearse our songs with the new members, so we hope to be ready to hit stages and to record a new DemoCD probably in the beginning of 2007.

August 01-2006

News update

Again very sad news

Ken has decided to leave Soulsteeler because of the many performances he has to do with his two other bands Black Jack and Killer. For him it became to much so his decision was to leave Soulsteeler.

Also Luc our drummer has decided to quit Soulsteeler as he feld his devotion was not the same anymore for the band.

After this announcements Raf, Johan and Jeroen decided that we're gonna try to go on. We feel it would be a pity to throw away so much of work and time that we 've done already to make our (new) music. In that line of thought we've asked Ken and Luc to record with us (in our repetitionhole) our 4 new songs that we've made. That recording could be helpfull for new members. A replacement for Luc has already been found, more details over the guy will follow on a later occasion because we want to see first if everything works out fine.

So for the moment we're in a search for an exprerienced bassplayer. Rehearsals are in Arendonk Candidates can contact Jeroen on his e-mail :Jeroen_dhondt@telenet.be

Some news from the Soulsteeler crew.

Sad news first. Our guitarplayer, Jeroen, has broken his wrist last week. He spent a day in the hospital, where his wrist was positioned again. A few days ago he went for a check up and the doctors assured him that everything should work out fine. His recovery takes at least 6 weeks so we have to cancel the gig in Bladel the 27 of may. Hopefully we can move the gig to a later date.

In the meantime we’re still working on new material . That resulted already in 3 brand new songs, 2 other songs are still under contruction. We espect to be ready for recording a new CD somewhere in the second half of 2006 . New gigs can be expected also with the release from the CD.

Other news. Maybe some of you have noticed already, Ken our basplayer has joined the legendary heavy metal band Killer. He’s also performing in Shorty’s other band Black Jack.
This doesn’t mean that Ken left Soulsteeler , he still is a full member of our band and we’re very proud that Ken has taken the opportunity to play with Killer.

(Finally) some news again. First of all: a happy new year, and may all your darkest wishes come true!!!

We ‘gigged’ some more for the past half year. The tenth of June we played at ‘De Witte non’ in Hasselt. A small stage, but a great audience and a very good organisation!
At the wonderfestival we played on a great stage, but a small audience… We wish the organisation good luck and more public for the second edition.
Then we performed at the metal night in Arendonk. We had a very good time there. Before, during and after our gig. Thanx Fire Birds!
The 8th October we visited for the second time ‘Den Auwel’. Not our greatest show there, but still standing.
Later in October we showed up at ‘The frontline’ in Gent. This was a metal contest. We were the only ones who brought ‘(old school) heavy metal’ as a nice interruption between all the Death metal that night. The jury didn’t think that way. Sad but true.
In November we were asked to play in ‘Blue Jeans café’ at the ‘Blue Jeans Metal night’. That was a 'big country place', nice decorated! Lot’s of people and a good show there.
The last show we did was in Retie on the location of ‘MC Heracles’. Xeah asked us to open the festival, which we loved to do. It was well organised, there was a lot of people and nice gigs from all the bands.

For now we thought it would be the best that we took a break, so we can write some new songs. So probably we wont be getting out of our repetition-hole for the next six months. There's some great new stuff in the pipeline that hopefully will end in a new DemoCD later on this year.
Maybe -if we want to- it might be possible that we put some free samples from our new stuff on-line.

June 01 - 2005

Update…what happened the last 2 months.
First of all we didn’t make it to the finals of the Wacken open air contest.
Which in the meantime is won by Unleash The Fury (congratulations).
Second, we did another 2 gig’s.
One in the far west (B52 Eernegem): There wasn’t made any promotion for the gig, so we‘ve played for the members of the other two bands Arawn and Deniall (10 people of audience). Nevertheless we had fun and gave them a very good performance. Also Arawn and Deniall did the same, both very skilled bands.
The other gig: Woonwhap 2005 at HOBNOB Brasschaat.
The organisation did their job and made plenty of promotion for their festival so
it was nice to play for a great bunch of spectators.

More gigs have been confirmed: The 14th of may we'll play at the Woonwhap festival in Brasschaat. And 2 or 3 september we'll be giving the best of ourselves at the Wonderfestival in Antwerpen.

March 20 - 2005

Soulsteeler will appear on the Wacken Open Air concours. We are glad we’ve been selected out of 41 entry’s to participate at the pre-selections.
There’ll be 2 pre-selections and 1 final. At each pre-selection 7 bands are participating and only 6 bands will make it to the final. Soulsteeler will play at the first pre-selection : 2 april at the OHK in Oostende. Other bands that day are : - Atroxentis, Distorted, Dark Sensation, M.I.G, Crimson Falls, Scarred Mind.
Bands participating at the second pre-selection April 9 in Zingem : Desperation, Reality, Signs Of Darkness, Solenoid, The Lords Of InDifference, Thurisaz, Unleash The Furry.
We certainly are gone kick some ass over there and maybe we can announce some glad news within a few weeks.

March 18 - 2005

We decided to make a few adjustments to our site.
From this moment we‘re going to use English as main language because we’ve noticed foreign metalheads visit our site very often.

February 21 - 2005

We’re proud to announce a new gig: April 23 at the B52 in Eernegem.
This will be our first gig in the far west. (Flanders for those of you who are interested in Belgian geography) The concert at JH Hobnob kicked some serious ass! There was a good accomodation and we were glad to have a great sound on stage. It was also the maiden trip for our Judas Priest cover “Hell Patrol”. Pictures of this gig are online and can be found at the free stuff page.

January 25 - 2005

The gig in Lichtaart with Killer and Imperia was a great experience for us as it was the first time we played on such a large stage. The concert itselves was good despite some technical problems. We’ve got good feedback from the crowd and also the guys of Killer said they liked our music. In the meantime we can add a new concert to the bill: February 12 at JH Hobnob in Brasschaat.

December 1 - 2004

2 More gigs to note down in your agenda: December 18 at the Wonderbar in Antwerp and January 8 at JH t’Jop. (St Job in’t Goor) The later gig is part of a rockrally and we hope we’ll get through the next phase in that competition.

November 28 - 2004

The gigs at “Den Auwel”and “JEKA” were rather successful. We’ve got lots of positive reactions and the people were interested in our new Demo-CD “Victims of Power”.

We’re also booked for a gig with Killer and Helena Michaelsen’s Imperia: January 21 at OC Lichtaart. Looks like that’s going to be one hell of a metal evening.

November 13 - 2004

Our second Demo-CD is finally finished. There are 5 songs on “Victims Of Power” (3 of them are brand new ones) The first copies are available from this moment and will be sold at our gigs. You also can order a copy by one of the bandmembers. On the Mp3 page there are fragments of the new Demo-CD, so check it out !

November 2 - 2004

Sad news… The gig in Lauwe is cancelled because of a double booking of the club where we’re supposed to play. In the meantime we finished the recording of our new Demo but this little treasure still needs to be mixed.

October 15 - 2004

We’ve got 2 new concerts to add to our giglist: one in Lauwe, a little place nearby Kortrijk with dutch heavy metalband Methusalem, and another at JH Den Auwel in Vorst-Laakdal. Keep your eye on the Gigs page for further developments.

October 3 - 2004

Soulsteeler will hit the stage on sunday November 14 at the JEKA in Kasterlee.
We booked the DIGIT studio in Westmalle to record our second Demo-CD, November 1st. We’re hoping to be ready with it before the gig in JEKA.

Exciting news: We finally found ourselves a real and good singer.
Johan De Bruyn, former singer of Mandylion and Celestian joined the band.
He will also perform June 18 at Bemdkaffee in Arendonk because he’s allready familiar with the songs.

That way Jeroen can concentrate him purely on his guitar which will be better for the band…we think.
